Informal Names on Pluto [Astronomy]

NASA through THIS WEBSITE is asking people to help them find names for Pluto and his moon Charon's features. Two days ago they released the first annotated maps of Pluto and Charon with some nome, for now still informal, but I really hope they'll stay.

La NASA tramite QUESTO SITO sta chiedendo alla gente di aiutarli a trovare i nomi per le caratteristiche di Plutone e la sua luna Caronte. Due giorni fa hanno rilasciato le prime mappe annotare di Plutone e Caronte con qualche nome, per ora ancora informale, ma io spero davvero che rimarranno.

This is Pluto. A lot of scientists' names (the biggest for Tombaugh, Pluto's discoverer), a lot of spacecrafts' names, and also some sci-fi names, like Morgoth or Balrog Maculae (from The Lord of the Rings). But it's with Charon that, in my opinion, they did it best:

Un sacco di nomi di scienziati (il più grande per Tombaugh, lo scopritore di Plutone), un sacco di nomi di sonde spaziali, e anche alcuni nomi dal mondo sci-fi, come le Maculae di Morgoth o Balrog (da Il Signore degli Anelli ). Ma è con Caronte che, a mio parere, hanno dato il meglio:

A lot of fictional characters that were famous travellers and/or vessels, from classical literature (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the Argonautes, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea) or movies and tv shows (Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars...), and also science fiction authors like Arthur C. Clarke.

My favourites are Mordor Macula (The Lord of the Rings), Organa (Princess Leia from Star Wars) and Ripley (Alien) Craters and Serenity Chasma (Firefly). What are yours? :)

Un sacco di personaggi di fantasia che sono stati viaggiatori e/o navi famose, dalla letteratura classica (Le avventure di Alice nel paese delle meraviglie, gli Argonauti, Ventimila leghe sotto i mari) o film e programmi tv (Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars...), e anche autori di fantascienza come Arthur C. Clarke.

I miei preferiti sono la Macula Mordor (Il Signore degli Anelli), i Crateri Organa (la Principessa Leia da Guerre Stellari) e Ripley (Alien) e il Chasma Serenity (Firefly). Quali sono i vostri? :)
