Quo vadis? [review]

by Henryk Sienkiewicz

Re-read years later, this novel doesn't lose its charm, but rather gain in it over again, thanks to a better knowledge about the author and his time. The character of Petronius continues to fascinate me, the love between Ligia and Vinicius continues to affect my romantic (and hidden), the story of the persecution to move me, the historical reconstruction to bewitch me. In short, a beautiful novel.
